Well, yes, it's a good start, but you could do better. There are several applications that can help build ebook covers, plus some tutorials regarding building them with PhotoShop.
Check out this FREE software from the twocows owner:
You have a problem with: a) perspective - the orientation of the lettering doesn't agree with the edges of the book cover. b) lighting - the spine looks lit from above , while the face of the cover is lit from top right - is that a drop shadow?
Both these things make the cover 'read' incorrectly to me, as an impartial (but wishing you well) viewer. I hope this helps - you did ask for comments and I suspect you weren't very happy yourself or you wouldn't have asked...
