Hello Everybody - new user here. And new to ebook publishing.
I'm loving Ebook Compiler - I cannot yet use it intuitively, but things are beginning to make sense.
I have also got 'Background Magic' for my site and my books.
Please can somebody explain (in not too techy terminology...smile:
1. how I insert a background into my ebook compiler project
2. how I insert it into my webpage - my host is SiteGraound and they have a very non-techy friendly program called Sitebuilder. I can insert jpeg images onto my site - but does the same process work for a background by 'Background Magic' ??
Thank you in advance
Julie

<body background="yourgraphic.gif">
Think of building your ebook like you would a web page. Activ can handle HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc.

Thank you for reading my query and replying, Storyman, but I'm afraid that I do not understand what I should do with that info. Do I type <body background="yourgraphic.gif"> onto each page ? To build my website I use a program that is just like using Word (Site Builder) and so am somewhat ignorant. And should the background Builder designs therefore be saved as .gif rather than as .jpeg ?? Thank you

He's giving you the HTML code
To edit HTML code, open the html page in a plain text editor such as notepad.
If you use a graphical HTML editor, it probably generates code like this for you, but you can check it, by reviewing the HTML files created by your editor.
The background image can be PNG, GIF, JPEG. Just make sure the file name in the BODY tag and the actual file name match.

Thanks for clarifying, Sunil.
Julie,
If you aren't familar with HTML, I'd like to suggest a good book for little money. Check out Elizabeth Castro's "HTML for the World Wide Web." It is a good tutorial as well as reference book.

Thank you Sunil and Storyman - I'll use your advice. I'll also look up that book Storyman.
