I have an ebook that acts strangely when it's lanched. The index page does not display, and the page seems to flicker, including the page's scrollbar. My cursor also flickers, showing a 'busy' icon. The problem persists when I re-compile it. It has been doing this for some weeks, and thought it was a problem with IE, but it persists even after upgrading to IE 8.
Has anyone heard of this behavior?

It appears that you have created some conflict in your construction that is preventing the eBook from working properly. These programing errors do crop up from time to time.
My suggestion would be to start your project from scratch and work up from a very simple eBook to more complicated versions -- so you can discover exactly what operation is causing the problem.
If you can not even get a simple eBook to run -- then perhaps there is a problem with your computer, it's software or possibly a Virus or Trojan.
When things go wrong -- don't keep repeating your mistakes.
