Created Table of Contents

magoo234 Hello -  This seems like a great place to be!  I am new to Activ Compiler (never created an ebook before - tho I've tried!).  All was going well yesterday; using Word 2002, created Index page, then Introduction as page2 with Table of Contents (even figured out bookmarks and hyperlinks!). Saved these two files in source folder on my desktop.  Went to sleep happy!  Woke up - opened page2 - and I see TOC -but cannot edit it?  I would really appreciate some help!
Thanks,
Maggie

jefftilt Maggie,

I'm going to take a stab at helping but I have several questions. I assume Index.htm is your Table of Contents and you are trying to load it back into Word so it can be edited, is that correct? If so, does Word load the file then prevent you from editing it or does Word refuse to load the file? Does either Word or Windows give you a message of any knid about the file and if so, what is that message?

Storyman If you don't have an HTML editor (there are free ones available) use Notepad.
