What's up with these "I/0 32" errors?

 »Question

Dre75 Hi Gang,

Did you ever open an eBook once only to receive an error "I/0 32" the second time.

It has a screen for you to register but these books were free to start with.

Any thoughts?

EBookCompiler I understand this is or was a problem with some (?) ebooks made using one of our competitors' compiler products (our compiler product iswww.ebookcompiler.comand has never had this problem)

From what little I know these ebooks produce this error on one or more of the more recent versions of Windows.  (I think I have seen it myself occur in some free ebooks that I downloaded - but I never bothered to research it). I also do not know whether more recent versions of their product have fixed this particular problem or not - but I would guess if they had, it would presumably require the ebook author recompiling/redistributing a new version of the ebook.

In other words, I think your best bet is to contact the author of the ebook that has the problem, with all the relevant details. Maybe he or she has a newer version of their ebook without the problem... or if not at least the author will know the problem exists.
