Need some feedback on my ebook covers?

Laurie Hi,

I am new here, not new to the internet marketing thing though?

I have created some covers with some of the free blank books that are available. I have put them up on this page on my site.

I want to get some feedback before I use them on my real pages.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me out. Honest opinions.

Sincerely,

Laurie Meade

Alaska Laurie -

Well, yes, it's a good start, but you could do better.  There are several applications that can help build ebook covers, plus some tutorials regarding building them with PhotoShop.

Check out this FREE software from the twocows owner:

http://www.boxshotmaker.com

Even if you're using msPaint for your book cover text, it will be an improvement.

It works well, and has excellent quality, but provides only a few viewing angles.

You might want to also check out the mostly free tools and scripts at:

http://www.copperfieldpub.com//main.htm?toolsessential_tools

I plan on adding more soon.

best -

Chris Pye You have a problem with:
a) perspective - the orientation of the lettering doesn't agree with the edges of the book cover.
b) lighting - the spine looks lit from above , while  the face of the cover is lit from top right -  is that a drop shadow?

Both these things make the cover 'read' incorrectly to me, as an impartial (but wishing you well) viewer.
I hope this helps - you did ask for comments and I suspect you weren't very happy yourself or you wouldn't have asked...

Best wishes
Chris

Pooja Hi Laurie,

I'm not sure if u need eBook cover help now, since
it's already been 2 months since you posted this
message.

I've just launched a free eBook with a tutorial on
how to create eBook Cover tutorials using RealDraw
Pro. You can get this tutorial free from

Thanks :-)
