Active Ebook and Featured package??

David Diwai I am a beginner and am delighted with Active ebook program which was recommended to my by Michael of Bizzy days.
I was looking for some ebook templates and noticed the add on the home page of this web site.
Are there many overlaps between Active ebook and Ebook Starter Kit?
If so where can I get ebook templates without to much overlap please?
Kind regards to all

dreuby Hi David, and welcome.

Are you planning to create your ebooks in HTML (web page) format? If so, you could use a basic web page template to save starting from scratch. You can find many free ones on the web -http://www.freetemplates.comis one, and you can find others with your favourite search engine. You would need something quite plain, to keep down the size of your ebook, and to avoid making it difficult to read.

If you are using Word, you can get templates - Microsoft have some on their site.

EBookCompiler Good question

Not really, they are complementary

Activ E-Book Compiler = takes your HTML files (it doesn't care what is in them) and makes them into an EXE format ebook

EBookStarter = a bunch of templates to help you make the HTML files with a certain look/feel style (plus they give you some graphics etc to help with covers)

There are of course many sites which also offer templates free, or for sale, as well as EBookStarter.  EBookStarter is popular mainly because it looks like a book.
