Vegy Hello.  I'm working through writing my ebook, and other people's ebooks telling me how to put one together.

One piece of advice recommended was that I start to think about how my ebook will look, so I downloaded the free version of Adobe Acrobat thinking this was what I needed.  It appears this is simply the PDF converter, and nothing to do with the design.  As I will be using video clips, I believe this is the only software I can use though.

I then realised it is the ebook COMPILER which does the design job.  This hasn't been clear in any of my 'build your own ebook' ebooks.

So with this in mind, i'm worried about the extent of work for a newbie like me...if it's realistic - especially using video clips.
My main ebook instruction manual mentions to outsource to someone to compile your ebook.

How much would something like this cost?  Can this include the PDF converstion, or do you have to buy rights to this software for you and your own book?  I just don't understand this area of publishing it yet.  I'm getting angry at how easy everyone says it is - but there is another hurdle around every corner it seems.

Any help so much appreciated. Thanks
