Help with creating an ebook

john84 Hi everyone,

I'm new to all this ebook stuff. And i'd like some advice if possible!?

I've built a website in which to distribute my ebook, i can manage that..just.

My problem is with actually creating the ebook. I want the book to be in PDF..but i have no idea how to create it. I want to be able to create a book which you can navigate from chapter to chapter and one which you can jump to different pages..how do i do this? I have adobe acrobat, and indesign. I can't see a particular template in either of these programs in which to structure an ebook. Is there a template available that i can simply insert text into?

I'm working on a mac and any sites claiming to have templates wont run on my system. Help!! I' getting really frustrated

moneylizard I recommend just downloading a few free ebooks to get some ideas and copy their formatting. I hope this answers your question...

ebookprofit Hi john84,

Well I'm not really sure if you've already found out what you're looking for but I still want to try to help you.

Regarding converting your files into pdf format with the template that you like

First, you may try to use a software from this site primopdf.com (FYI: it's free) for converting several file type formats into pdf

Second, when you convert the file into pdf it will actually look like the way you want it to look like (allows navigation from one chapter to another or one page to another)

Btw, I have a video showing you step by step how to do it, check out my signature below. PM me if you experience any difficulties.
