Be sure to check the Terms of Use for any pictures that you might use. And if unsure contact the copyright holder for explicit permission or explanation.
For example, I bought 34 Gigs of art recently... The terms of use state I can use in my own documents and web sites and in products, but not in a way where users can re-use the images (which I imagine might cover resell rights)
Do look at the licence agreement, of course. I seem to recall that they have some limitations about using photos with people, but I can't remember the details.
Most images that appear in WIKIPEDIA are available for use. Some have been released to the Public Domain and some requre attribution described under one of a couple of open-source type licenses.
