Ebook marketing help

jp Does anyone have any suggestions on how to market a ebook that is a lead generating site? I have come across many sites that will let you advertise your ebook as long as you are the author of the book. The ebook is really a "how to" for network marketing that has my contact info branded on the final page. I guess I would like to know is ezines, FFA pages, blogs etc. what is the best way to market this type of ebook.

Thx.

jbsmith Hi JP, there are really only two factors that make reports or ebooks highly desirable as viral products...

1. They are brandable, meaning that webmaster, ezine publishers, forum managers, etc... can brand a link with their ID and earn a commission as part of any sale made from the product - with reasonable return and good expectation of actually making money or--

2. There is something tremendously unique or valuable or controversial about the report that makes everyone want it just out of curiosity.

Ideally -- your report can combine the two.

Not sure how this could be done with Internet Marketing - affiliate marketers use these techniques as they can "brand" a landing link with a unique ID and share commissions.

Cheers...
Jeff

ebookpublishing I personally find that to start marketing your product is to use viral techniques. Followed by Jvs and free marketing i.e. writing lots of articles and using free ebook submission to larger websites.

I follow several procedures everytime i launch a new ebook as its important to get yourself known.

There is enough free marketing out there for you to use without having to pay for it. I hav never paid for any advertising and i never will - for example lots of people pay for google adwords when they can market the product by themselves.........

EllenViolette What marketing techniques you decide to use should ultimately depend on what you enjoy doing the most.

But some techniques work faster than others and some require more skill than others.

I really like ebook launches and co-writing with people with very large lists because you know you will make money as long as your topic and your partners lists are a match.

Very wise words.  If you don't like what you're doing (i.e, in marketing), you won't do it for long.  And marketing is an every day process so you have to figure out what is fun for you to do.

Do you like writing articles? Then use that method.  Don't expect to be an overnight success.  Article marketing is great because nothing ever goes off the Internet.  Articles I wrote 11 years ago can still be seen because web site owners took the articles from the article directory sites and put it on their website.

What this did was increase my PR rating in Google because I had backlinks from their site to mine. This was due to the fact that they could only publish the article on their site if the link I put in my resource box remained clickable.

This method is slower than saying putting a link on Twitter or Facebook but it lasts longer :-)

Twitter can be useful if you build up a network of friends who will retweet your ebook link to their friends.

A better place to market for free is Facebook.  Create a Fan Page where you interact regularly with your fans.

Ann Rice does this beautifully.

Another area where you'll get free traffic is to make your website extremely search engine friendly.

markpw Publish on iPhone App Store and no marketing work is required. The quality of your book counts. There are 48 million iPhones and iPod Touch sold. Every newly published iPhone ebook is listed on the top of the list. The ebook must be in app format. Not an ebook published under ebook readers. I found the sitehttp://www.publishebook123.comgiving detailed information about publishing iphone ebooks as apps in App Store.
