I'm looking for the program that locks the exclusive right to read an ebook (used on Harvard publications as well). Each computer has a unique serial number that allows such usage only on that machine. What program is it?
I suspect that they use Adobe's PDF system, but can't say for certain. A few years ago Havard went to a print-on-demand system for text books written by their professors and believe they use Adobe products for that as well. Not a 100% certain though.
