I often hear article submission and writing articles as a way to promote your ebooks, but once the article is written where do these people submit the article?

I use Article Marketer. It sends your article out to a large number of directories with one click. It is free to join, but if you decide to upgrade they send your articles out to even more directories Clint Pollard

ezinearticles is best i guess. Other article directory you can use is devshed. Please google for free articles directories.
