I'm wondering if you added a locking html code to the locked-area.com system wouldn't that constitute a fool proof way of securing an ebook?
If they can't view the code or copy and paste, the only other option stealers would have is to just sit there and write it out by hand. I doubt if too many people would bother to do that.
Most ebook compilers (including Sunil's) does have the capacity to disable the "view source" option so that people won't be able to copy and paste.
You're right though... some people could write it all out by hand and you would be surprised at how many times this has probably happened to some people! I have heard of people scanning books with hundreds of pages to give away as ebooks on the internet, so it is definitely a possibility.
I don't think we have to worry about it too much unless we have extremely unique content of high value (that will increase your chances of copyright theft.)
