security features in 5.05 & 4.22

»Payment routine and security features in 5.05 and 4.22

upeka Questions:

1. I am a registered user of version 4.22 and 5.05
and I notice that the security features are different between the two versions.

2. Version 5.05 indicates a Vol. ID Security Option - presumably reading the end-users hard-disk ID? Correct?`Is this therefore a hardware-lock?

3. Will Ebook APS 2.0 for Active Ebook Compiler work with both 4.22 and 5.05

4. I have downloaded the german.lng file - dated 9/10/2002. Will this be compatible with both 4.22
and 5.05

thanks for getting back to me!

Storyman Regarding #2. By hardware-lock do you mean that the ebook will only work on that machine? If so, the answer is yes--with a caveat. There are 1,000 possible registration keys, which means that there is a .1% chance that any two machines will use the same registration key.

Regarding #3. According to the creator the APS will work with both versions.

Storyman Several months ago there was a discussion about languages. Maybe if you do a search you'll find what you're looking for.
