I have finished compiling my book and sent it in an email to a friend for her to check it. she can download it, but when she opens it, she gets an error message saying the file is corrupt, any ideas? thanx
It could have got corrupted in transfer - it happens sometimes even when downloading from the web. You could try re-sending it, or if you have web space, upload it for her to download.
