Here's the question... IF I include the actual Font file in with all the other source files, will it show up in the ebook after compilation on the computer of someone who does NOT have the font on their system?
Thanks... getting ready to do my first official build!!!
I'm no expert on this, but I believe font files need to be installed in a particular Windows folder
The upshot of this, is I don't think it would work this way. You need to put the font into a folder folder on the machine.
The best way, I think, to do this, is create an installation program around your ebook and the fonts. The ebook EXE goes into a folder of user's choice. Font files go into font folder. A tool to make installers -www.jrsoftware.org
If somebody knows, maybe they can give more tips/detail
Please bear in mind, that font files are generally copyrighted by their authors/developers, so don't distribute font files unless you have the rights too
I think you've talked me out of using the font. BUT I do want to distribute my ebook on the small, credit card sized CD's, so I'll have to learn how to create a program that installs the ebook on the users computer. I'll check out the resource you've suggested. Any other suggestions / help with install programs? Thanks for such great product support... EH
