I now have my FIRST ebook (or I should say emanual), but the pictures are not showing up and there is no table of contents!
I have the whole manual written in one file... Should I have saved the different sections in different files? What will help the compiler give me a table of contents?
Also the pictures are showing in my save ms word, why isn't it transfering to the ebook? What do I do now?
if your images are in a directory, they won't be found - all of your files have to be in the same dir. Html files are usually one file to a page, or chapter. When you start a new chapter or topic, start a new file.
Word generates very bulky files, that are hard to decipher. You may want to use the Word/Html filter I mentioned in a previous post.
If using Word, make sure you save using the procedure shown in the Getting Started section of our Help. If not using word, look for the missing image articles atwww.ebookcode.com
Table Of Contents is probably missing because you made everything into one big "page" (a HTML page = one document in the original Word etc)
I have saved it as the instruction state, but the pictures STILL aren't showing up. All the files are in one area (file?) (directory?). I saved it as a web page. Even if I copy the file the pictures disappear.
I am not really sure if a file is the same as a directory.
I guess I need things (the steps) spelled out to one by one.
This may sound pretty novice, but I AM! Please some one help.... I'll work on saving the pages individually so that I can get an index. Thanks.
