I want to distribute password-protected copies of my ebooks with the option of selling passwords after I have received the payment on my banking account. Customers would have to notify me of their payment by clicking onto an email button on the password protection page. I would like to have an Activ Script that will automatically include the password number and title or ESBN of the opened ebook into the subject line or body of the email that is addressed to me after the customer clicks onto the mailto: button. Is such a solution feasible ? What would the script look like ? Please easy-to-follow solutions. Thank you. Hartmut
I don't think there is one reliable method to email from the user's computer to yours, as different people have different email programs
The best idea I think is to put one of those Formmail scripts on your site, and the form linking to it in one of your pages. Make sure you turn off Automatically Open Internet Links in a new window in Edit User Interface, or put TARGET=_blank inside the FORM tag.
You should be able to use the preprocessor to put the ESBN, password number etc. into the appropriate fields on the form page of the ebook
