Would it be possible in the next version to have two type of Activ Var. Text and Numeric. If you can have a numeric you shoul be able to do this in the value field: {hour}*{hourlyrate} This would create a third Activ Var with a calc of two other var as the answer in the value. Preposer inside the variable.

Going forward, I think something like you suggest may be possible, I need to look into this into more detail. It may not work exactly how you suggest - but I think we can probably find a way to do the same function (calculations in pre-processor)
