Showing a graphic next to links requiring a password

mcofano Sunil,

Earlier today, I read a post where you indicated how to show a graphic (such as padlock.gif) next to links that require a password to be entered to view them.

I recall that part of the solution was to use (iscorrectpassword), but for the life of me I cannot find the post again.  What searchword should I use.

EBookCompiler Make 2 graphics, say

locked0.gif and locked1.gif

locked0.gif is the graphic showing it needs a password to read the page

locked1.gif is a blank or transparent graphic

Enable the preprocessor on the file containing the link (e.g. the contents or intro page).  By double click and checking the option on the Files tab.

In the HTML code put

<IMG SRC="locked[={iscorrectpassword}].gif">

This will then be locked0.gif or locked1.gif depending on whether the password has been entered yet or not.

Sorry - at least some versions of the manual have these options back to front.

mcofano Sunil,

Thanks a lot.  BTW, is there comprehensive documentation on Activ Script?  Is it unique to Activ EBook?

Thanks again for the help.
