I believe this problem (will occurs on some systems) has been fixed in 4.2x. I did manage to reproduce the problem on one system (it doesn't happen on most systems I have which have a variety of Windows version), and on this system it is definitely fixed.
The 4.21 beta version did have a few problems (see the thread in this forum)
I am about to make 4.22 beta available, and I think this will cure the problems in 4.21 plus this issue.
You can download and try out the 4.22 beta, but please don't make ebooks made using the beta available to your customers/users **YET** - wait for it to become the official release. This is in your own interest as we + you want to make sure the users are not exposed to problems while we are debugging
If you are on my mailing list, you'll get info about the 4.22 beta in the next day or so, you can download and try it out - I have to write the announcement. If you are not on my mailing list, join now:http://www.suniltanna.com/list/
If for some reason you don't get the announcement email for 4.22 by tomorrow, email me at webmaster@ebookcompiler.com and I'll send you a download instructions.
When testing my ebooks, I register them on my PC. Then, if I delete the file, I cannot remove the registration. When I do a test on my ebook, putting the ebook back means it works but I want to have it locked up again. This way, I can double check the piracy protection.
Is it possible to remove the ebook registration or is it always there?
Load the saved project into the compiler and use My Password Status on the Build menu to reset whether the password has been entered or not
In 4.20 (only - not 4.01, 4.21 or 4.22) there is a bug that this menu doesn't reset the password status if you entered the password into an ebook made using 4.01 and tried to reset it in the 4.20 compiler.
